Inula Leaves Inula helenium

Antibacterial and calming

Inula is widely grown across Europe and Asia and has been widely used for thousands of years to treat inflammation and fevers. It has antiseptic, astringent and antibacterial properties which help to soothe the skin and calm the immune system. It also aids the cleansing of toxins from the body and helps to reduce the size and severity of spots.

Its main anti-inflammatory ingredients are azulene compounds - similar to compounds found in chamomile, well known for its calming properties. Inula also contains anti-inflammatory flavonoids. It reduces the build-up of bacteria, has an antibacterial action and suppresses sebum production. It will attack bacteria directly and at the same time leave them nowhere to grow.
