Chamomile Chamomilla recutita
Chamomile is one of the world’s favourite herbs to relieve various ailments and promote wellbeing. It grows in profusion in Europe, Western Asia and the Middle East, Northern Africa and North America. The herb has appeared in medical texts since ancient times and its name derives from the Greek for “apple”, referring to the sweet aroma of the flowers. In herbal remedies, the flowers have traditionally aided digestion and treated skin irritation. Chamomile also has soothing and healing properties. The herb compliments the action of the Black Cumin when applied to the face to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
